Health & Safety
Park Lane Fencing Ltd invests in and always takes very seriously the safety of its employees, the public and its clients. This is not only ethical but also cost-effective. Our investment in training and keeping up-to-date with new health and safety procedures has directly reduced the amount of time lost on site owing to work related injuries. As a result, more projects have been completed on time and within budget.
Health and safety procedures need not be boring or time-consuming chores to comply with. Park Lane Fencing Ltd has worked hard to develop an ‘open forum’ approach with our staff, ensuring that time is set aside at every monthly meeting not only for formal training and updates, but also for an open-format question and-answer session. These allow everyone to express their concerns and work together to develop safer practices.
Commercial clients are clearly obliged to acknowledge their responsibilities when employing contractors, but domestic clients should also remember that they have a legal responsibility to employ people who intend to work in a safe and responsible manner.
Park Lane Fencing Ltd employs not only an external safety advisor; we also have a nominated internal Safety Officer. Our external safety advisor, Veritas Consulting completes two full safety audits a year and develops action plans to help us improve on any identified weaknesses.
