Timber Fencing
Park Lane Fencing

Product Overview

Timber fencing is mostly used for demarcation rather than security and is really cost-effective.

All our timber fencing is pressure-treated (unless otherwise specified) increasing its longevity and it’s all FSC certified too.

Timber is a living product and will degrade over time. To maximise its life span we recommend the timber is treated every 2 – 3 years with a solvent based treatment in the Summer, so that it can soak into the dry wood.

We can supply a wide range of different types of timber fencing:

Building Site Hoarding

We can install these in-ground, where the upright supports can be cemented into the ground; or on-ground, where the ground can’t be dug up and so the supports re secured to concrete blocks.

  • Built using high quality wood which will withstand poor weather conditions
  • Panels can be painted in any colour
  • In-ground site hoarding is more cost effective and better for rural areas where there are limited underground utilities
  • On-ground construction site hoarding is often used in city centres where the ground can’t be dug up
Close Board Fencing

This offers great strength and longevity as the vertical boards partially overlap and solid timber posts and rails are used.

  • One of the most cost-effective types of security fencing available for a solid boundary that will stand the test of time
  • Can be used to make a fence of virtually any height (please note – planning permission is required from 1.95m or from 1m if adjacent to a public highway)
  • To increase the longevity of this security fencing we recommend installation with concrete posts and gravel boards
  • Ideal on sloping grounds as the gravel boards and rails can be fixed at an angle
  • Available in green and brown as standard options
  • All timber is pressure-treated, unless otherwise specified, increasing its longevity
  • Simple and cost-effective to repair as only the boards will need replacing
Knee Rail Fencing

Usually found in car parks and retail areas, these are ideal for demarcation and can be made from timber or steel.

Timber Knee Rails

  • 100mm x 100mm rails
  • Supported on a birds-mouth fixing on 140mm x 100mm posts
  • All timber is pressure-treated, unless otherwise specified, increasing its longevity

Steel Knee Rails

  • 50mm square steel tube, with support posts at 1.5m centres
  • Steelwork is galvanised and can be polyester coated
Hit & Miss Fencing

The boards are alternately fixed to the front and then to the back of the fence panel, so they overlap.

  • Both sides have the same finish so there’s no ‘good’ and ‘bad’ sides
  • This design means it allows air to pass through and benefits from an approximate 15% wind load reduction
